Public Transportation The Desert Sun Public transportation throughout Coachella Valley is provided by Sunline Transit Agency. National public transportation is provided by Amtrak and Greyhound Bus Lines. Private bus service, shuttle and taxi service is available in the Coachella Valley and to cities outside the desert region. Sunline Transit Agency32-505 Harry Oliver Trail Sunline Transit Agency provides daily ridership on 47 buses and vans throughout the Coachella Valley. The agency provides daily bus service, except Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, from Desert Hot Springs to Oasis. Sunline services about 4.1 million riders annually.
